Today was a rather dramatic day. At may energy pa akong magblog ha.
After weeks of back-breaking midnight practices, we finally performed our cheerdance routine.
Days before the final performance, there had been talks on which Divisions will make it to the top. Of course, no one was allowed to practice outside the campus, so pretty much everybody can see everything we did. From the warm-ups to our kalokohans to our kapalpakans to the rehearsals. Everything.
Among the nine competing divisions, the Accountancy (ACC), Humanities (HUM), and the College of Nursing (CON) were performing really well during practices. So most of the people already had their eyes and were rooting for these three divisions.
I agree with them. Like what I said, we can see everything. Basing on my own judgment, I have the same top choices.
So tonight, in the last day of Palarong Atenista 2007, we finally danced our hearts out. Those three divisions I have mentioned performed really really really well. And on the same night, the winners were announced.

| Just so you know, during inter-division cheerdance competition, all divisions will wear the standard, boring, and plain cheerdance uniform. So yeah, we're judged only for our performances. |
The second runner-up was bagged by the Social Sciences (SS) Division. I can hear the SS students screaming on the bleachers, but the silence at the back stage was more deafening. Everyone was shocked.
Then Accountancy Division took home the first runner-up trophy. It's not surprising because they were really really good.
That's when almost everyone from both CON and HUM squads started to cry because there's only ONE effin spot left for the winner and there were still TWO amazing teams. And what's worse, there was a two-and-a-half-minute intermission number before they announced the champion.
That was the longest 2 and a half minutes of my life.
But I'm not going to make it longer anymore because we, the College of Nursing, brought home the bacon. Yay!
